The Via Francigena is an historic pilgrimage route linking Canterbury, UK, to Rome, Italy. We will bike through the Lower Valsusa valley, ringed by imposing Alpine peaks, passing medieval abbeys and fairytale villages. A charming and unusual jaunt just outside Torino.

You can bring your own bike or rent one on the spot.
The tour difficulty is moderate-demanding, around 50km long with a couple of gentle ascents and a short climb. We’ll take the train from Torino to Susa, which is where our ride starts. After a brief visit to the remarkable Susa’s Roman heritage, we will head towards the valley following secondary roads and cycle paths, surrounded by the Alps, passing trhough old medieval villages and monasteries. Lunch will be at a local trattoria or enjoyed as a farmer’s picnic. Arrival in Rosta where we catch train back to Torino. The tour is given in English
