The Via Francigena is an ancient pilgrimage route linking Canterbury, UK, to Rome, Italy. We will bike through the Susa Valley, where alpine peaks ring a landscape dotted with medieval abbeys and fairytale villages — a charming and unusual jaunt just outside Turin.
The bike tour is free to join, simply leave a tip to your guide at the end if you enjoyed it

You can bring your own bike or hire one on the spot — there’s a rental shop right there. The tour is made private, for your group only.
This tour is for the experienced rider, around 50km long with a few not too long ascents. We’ll take the train from Turin (Torino) to Susa, which is where our ride starts. After a brief visit to the remarkable Susa’s Roman heritage, we will head towards the valley following secondary roads and cycle paths, surrounded by the Alps, passing trhough old medieval villages and monasteries. Lunch will be at a local trattoria or enjoyed as a farmer’s picnic. Arrival in Rosta where we catch train back to Turin. The tour is in English
